MBC, Management By Constraints, is a management tool methodology based, used in order to implement FFS’s principles, in solving complex problems within the business market. MBC composed of 3 main elements: guiding principles, analysis tools and software solutions.

MBC defines three types of Constraints: Strategic constraints, Operational constraints and an Active Bottleneck.

An Operational Chain will be considered Optimized if and only if the Strategic Constraint is the Active Bottleneck (as a result, it is equal to the Operational Constraint as well), its service level rate is excellent and it is operating at its lowest expenses cost.

MBC helps you to:

1. Identify the 3 types of constraints.
2. Identify the company status with regards to the above statement (Relation between Strategic and Active Bottleneck)
3. Define the improvement sequence and focus.
4. Re-engineer the organization in order to set the Strategic Constraint to be the Active bottleneck.
5. Implement the MBC planning and control approaches in order to sustain high service rate.
